XBL India

On November 5th, Xbox Live is going to be available in India. Prices for the service and Microsoft Points are slightly more expensive ($55 a year, $27 for 1600 points). There are a couple other differences between the US and Indian services. Microsoft announced that India will be the first country to offer learning aids for grades 1-12. This will market the 360 to parents as a utility for learning.

Can you imagine having an Xbox in your classroom? If they do start to include education aids in other countries, it could be another reason for kids to ask their parents for the system. Plenty of Bollywood films will also be offered on the Xbox Live Marketplace. I am sure with a population of around 1,129,866,154 (July 2007) there will be plenty of people to populate Xbox Live there, and we will all likely being hearing more Indian people online.
